Parched - The Earth

A short poem to begin with for this long (mixed) post! “Parched - the Earth” Once upon a time! The fire ball, that became an ocean! Dropped from somewhere, The life forms full of life! I enjoyed my shelter under the green woods! Filled with the fragrance! Breathing in the elegant aroma! Cool waters quenching my thirst! Never went short of food for my growth! Everytime...came the time! But is it worse this time? What did I do? Who did this? Vanishing fresh fragrance and aroma! Air!!! Where are you??? Shelter missing!! Hydrated throat and body! Food nowhere found!! Dig the water!!! But from where?? kill for food?? But what?? Radiant Super Star!! Burning all…!! Eroded lands! Violent minds! Raining Fire Balls!!! Graves everywhere!! No bodies!! Souls flying!!! Ohhh! All parched! I need a home!! raghu iyer Hindu: (Some years back, i wrote a long post on this topic, today i am again made to write) Hindu is an identity for all the humans who are ancestrally & by lineage of this land known as Hind or Bhaarath!! Hindu the identity known as religion! Hindu is a unique unity in diversity! Hindu is a collection of various castes, languages & believers!!! Hindu cannot be equated or compared to any existing or vanished religions on earth!! The so-called birth givers of new religions did influence, coerce & force the once upon a time hindus to get converted to belong to their new found identifiable religions! Hindus tolerated & still tolerate conversion! The place known as hind & HINDUSTAN is identity of Hindus! (We still sing “saare jahaan se achchha, HINDUSTAN hamara”!! Hindus tolerated the invasions & damages to many temples!! Hindus tolerated the ravagers and looters! Hindus tolerated the people who came for business but created divide rule!! All castes & languages in hindus must come together to become united!!! Hindus have as many gods & goddesses to believe to worship! Universe & this world is one big family!! It is indeed offending that many hindus are not supporting hindus and giving speech against hindus!! Lets try to bring unity instead of divides!! Population: The carnal biological and physiological activity that is used to gratify and satisfy the needs of sensual/ sexual centers in the heas!! Some call it need and some call it desire! Whatever be the concept or theory of creation! Finally, the cycle of creation, re-creation and pro-creation goes on! The re-cycling takes place! The eco-systems are working hard to balance the birth and death ratio! The awareness to be vegetarian or to be Non-vegetarian continues! You can be called a human as well a non-human, you are a cumulative and collective effect of your birth and qualities that you carry! Your actions!! In India, No ruling government in past or present has succeeded in controlling population growth!! They come up with policies and measures to control population but fail! There is no uniform or common civil code! The need for growth of religions and castes and races is used as an excuse for creation but the main reason is one’s own carnal desire and want to have physical intimacy known as sex! But we need strict law in place to control population! Population control required to sustain economy, economic progress & stability of human society!! Population control will help conserve & preserve resources like water, food & natural resources! Do we have rights to forcibly kill pests and insects and micro-organisms? Or do we have rights to kill poisonous animals, birds and reptiles? If we have rights to kill non-humans, then yes, many prove that they have rights to kill the humans too!! Humans became killers!! Where are the human rights activists & agencies??? Dharma & Karma: The rule and law of dharma is related to the rule and law of Karma (both go hand in hand together)! You cannot deny the dharma nor the karma! The dharma says “life for and of all”, so as karma says “life for and of all”! So, the truth that, dharma says “death for and of all”, so as karma says, “death for and of all”! Human versus the nature! From the birds eye-view, you will know that all are doing their karma as per their dharma! Who can judge whom? Peace on this earth is expensive and very costly, as many understand that “Peace happens only after a great war”! Peace is got at the cost of a War! What can power do, but to kill in the name of power! A time when I was restrained and the time when I put restraint on me! The time that ordered me to forgive and be at peace! But who am I to forgive or give punishment?? At the most and atleast, I can do is my dharma and karma! Saying is “As the judge, so be the judged! As the judged, so be the judge!” The great Bhagwath Gita which begins with the questionnaire and the answers between Sri Krishna and Arjuna! The doubt or fear of Arjuna “how can I fight and kill the ones who are my own, my elders, my juniors, my friends and and my relations, the known & unknown? Do i have to kill?” Sri Krishna replies, “Yes, Arjuna! Your great duty is towards your dharma for which you have to do your karma! If you still are worried about consequences, then know the truth that this great war is already decided! You and all come from me and will return to me! Remove the doership from you and offer all yours to me! All are mine as you are! You are born by dharma to do your karma! Do it!” The stage and state of mind when one realizes the fact that “nothing matters! All the bodies and relations come with an expiry date printed on it! As birth, so is death!!” Have Peace and be at Peace for a Peaceful world... Raghu iyer
